The Pratt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about ATV vehicles being driven about unlawfully in Iuka at 10:31 p.m. on March 29 along with a noise complaint.
A deputy arrived and located an ATV and attempted to stop the vehicle to talk to the operator. The driver of the ATV sped away and led deputies and KHP troopers on a brief chase. The operator finally stopped and surrendered to Law Enforcement.
The Pratt County Sheriff’s Department placed placed the operator under arrest and transported that person to the Pratt County Jail. The name of that person has not been released.
The operator was charged with Fleeing or attempting to Elude Law Enforcement and Reckless driving. No one was hurt and no property was damaged during the pursuit. KHP assisted with the incident.
