Congratulations to the Tri-County Tribune Winter Sports 2025 Athlete of the Week choices for week 4. We applaud the dedication and skills exhibited by Isabela Ortiz at Macksville High School in basketball and Blake Dillard from Pratt High School in bull riding.

Isabela Ortiz

Macksville High School senior Isabela Ortiz scored 21 points, had 8 steals and 5 rebounds in last Friday’s game against Hodgeman County. Though HC won the game 46-38, Ortiz has had a huge start to her senior season and is worthy of notice for our Tri-County Tribune week 4 Athlete of the Week pick. In the 2024 portion of the current basketball season Ortiz averaged a double-double with points and steals. She continues to be a team leader in 2025.

Blake Dillard

Pratt High School student Blake Dillard is also a bull rider and has been racking up some top rides this winter season. He earned a 74 in Great Bend in mid-December, added in an 80 early December near Byers at the Stratford Ranch, and has been working on his rodeo skills in addition to attending regular classes at USD 382. Congratulations to Dillard for being the Tri-County Tribune Athlete of the Week for week 4 and best of luck living the dream.
