7th Annual Pratt Oktoberfest

Sept. 21 – Pratt Oktoberfest is Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5-10 p.m. at Lemon Park with yard games, polka band, stein holding contest, food trucks and cold beverages. This event is for people age 21 & over only; all the proceeds go to local philanthropic causes. Tickets $20 at the gate.

Pratt commodities to be distributed

Sept. 25 – Commodities (Dept. of Child and Family Services) Pratt County residents may come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main to pick up commodities from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 (4th Wed. every other month). Government income guidelines apply.

Greenback Hall of Fame ceremonies planned

Sept. 27 – The public is invited to attend Greenback Hall of Fame Reception and Induction Ceremonies at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Vernon Filley Art Museum. This year’s inductees are Deb Barker Goyen, Linda S. Austin-Lanterman and Deb Harrison Miller. Inductees will also be introduced at the Homecoming Assembly at 1:30 p.m., PHS gym. Youth Core pig roast fundraiser coming soon

Sept. 29 – The public is invited to the Youth Core Ministries annual pig roast, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, September 29 at he Pratt Municipal Building, 117 W. 3rd, Pratt. All proceeds benefit Pratt Core Life.

Save the date for Stafford Oktoberfest

Oct. 4, 5 – Stafford County celebrates 35th Annual Oktoberfest with a parade, beer garden, magic show, street dance, carnival games, inflatables and arcade trailer, traditional games, cornhole, duck race, music, dancing, bingo and more. www.oktoberfeststaffordks.com.

SCCF Gala to take place October 5

Open House at Pratt Fire Department

Oct. 12 – The City of Pratt Fire Department will host an open house and meet and greet event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the city fire station, 201 S. Jackson, Pratt. This is an opportunity for education about fire extinguishers and station tours, held in conjunction with Fire Safety Week.
