It’s time for May Fest
May 3 – Enjoy music, art, and nature at the Bixler’s Art Barn and Clarkson Park, 20011 SE 20th Ave, Pratt, Kansas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. Food trucks, indoor and outdoor artist displays and demonstrations, along with a great variety of musical talent will be showcased.
CHANGE OF DATE: Celebrate a new business downtown
May 13 – There will be a Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening of the Wheat State Mercantile, 303 S. Main, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13. This was originally posted as a May 6 event but that date has been changed.
Come to the PCC Scholarship Auction
May 9 – The 37th annual Pratt Community College Scholarship Auction takes place Friday, May 9; doors open at 5:30 p.m. The silent auction will feature a wide array of products to bid on, from driveway rock to beauty items. All are welcome to attend.
Ride the Pilot Club train free
May 10 – Pratt Pilot Club celebrates the 20th Birthday for the Pilot Express Train with free rides, games and treats from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at Sixth Street Park in Pratt. The train was donated to the City of Pratt on May 5, 2025.
Wheat plot tour announced
May 14 – The Pratt County Wheat Plot Tour will take place Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 6 p.m. See article on page 5 for details or call the Pratt County Extension Office at (620) 672-6121.
Greensburg rodeo announced
May 16, 17 – It’s time for the annual Triangle Rodeo in Greensburg. Come out for a 60th Year Anniversary Event, starting time 8 p.m. May 16 and 17. Admission for adults $10, children $5. Location: 720 N Bay Street, Greensburg. Rodeo Parade is 10 a.m., May 17, Main Street, Greensburg.
Commodities available for Pratt County residents
Commodities (Dept. of Child and Family Services) next distribution for Pratt County residents is from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21. Those who qualify may come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main to pick up their bags and boxes of food. Government income guidelines apply.
