Blake Winsor of Pratt High School accepted an invitation to compete with the Kansas Shrine Duals and will wrestle at 157 lbs. on Saturday, March 29 in the 2nd Annual KWCA event. The wrestling matchups for all weight divisions and sizes of schools takes place at Fugate Gymnasium, Kansas Newman University, Wichita, Kansas.
The premiere all-star wrestling event features Kansas’ top senior high school girls and boys wrestlers in an East vs. West team dual format. All net proceeds from the KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals benefit Shriners Children’s.
Winsor, a West All-Star competitor in the event, won 3rd place at the 4A State Championship Wrestling Tournament earlier in March. He will take on the East All-Star, Braiden Frey (Olathe North) who took home a 2nd place medal at the 6A State Championships. Tickets and event information is available at https://buff.ly/KmfDdIY.
Wrestling matches begin at 2:30 p.m., following a 10:30 a.m. Shriners Children’s Hospital Experience, 1 p.m. gates open with wrestler’s signing autographs, and 2 p.m. opening ceremonies.
