Arley Morrell

Pratt High School junior Arley Morrell is making a name for himself as not only and offensive powerhouse but also a defensive force to be reckoned with on the basketball courts. In recent competition, Morrell was a defensive leader in rebounds and blocks against Minneapolis (a Greenback win 34-28); and was part of a team shooting 69 percent from the field, and key to several important mid-season wins. Morrell is the Tri-County Tribune’s selection for male Athlete of the Week, for week 6.

Ashley Spease

Skyline Schools basketball players Ashley Spease is the Tri-County Tribune’s female Athlete of the Week choice for week 6.  She has been aconsistent scorer throughout the season for the Thunderbirds with recent output that includes 18 points on January 17 against Fairfield, 14 points and 6 rebounds and 3 assists against Chaparral on January 21, and 9 points and 4 rebounds and 4 assists against South Barber on  January 23.
