A stolen car report near Preston turned into a narcotics arrest for the Pratt County Sheriff’s Department to begin 2025.
On January 1, the Pratt County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office about a possible stolen vehicle near Preston in Pratt County. Deputies responded and located the vehicle.
When deputies tried to stop the vehicle a short pursuit began. The driver of the vehicle wrecked and two occupants were taken into custody.
Upon investigation of the vehicle, deputies located narcotics inside the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to the Pratt County Jail, where their future remains uncertain. Listed on the Pratt County Sheriff’s Department jail roster in possible connection with this incident are Kevin Hammond and Cole Lombard.
