Camden Matthew (last name not announced) has been welcomed at Pratt Regional Medical Center as the first baby of 2025. Born at 12:57 p.m. on Friday, January 3, Camden is the son of Emily and Seth, and he has an older brother, Colt.

The family received a special New Year’s gift basket filled with baby items that were donated by hospital chaplain Tom Harrison, Family Birth Suites staff and PRMC administration. The traditional gift basket included a baby bathtub, washcloths, baby towels, bath soap and lotion, baby blankets, clothes, two cases of diapers, diaper cream and applicator, diaper bag, baby books, piggy bank, sound machine, bath toy, and a purse filled with goodies for mom.

There were 218 babies delivered at PRMC in 2024, with 109 boys and 109 girls born. As a regional medical center, Pratt welcomes patients from surrounding counties, some driving in from 2 hours away to get here, as well as from the local area.

“We are so thankful for our outstanding physicians, nurses and staff who make it possible to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate care. We are blessed! We wish you all a Happy New Year,” said nurse Kaitlyn Longbine.

Family Birth Suites accepts donations all year long to make up a basket for the first baby born each new year.
