Crossing the Threshold: Take a shower already, and be free
Feeling clean and smelling good after taking a shower is one of the nicest things humanity has to enjoy. Somehow I went two weeks recently without taking a shower. I just was too busy, didn’t have the time, and wasn’t thinking I really needed it, until after the fact. Taking that shower, smelling good like that new lavender soap, having clean hair; it made me wonder why I waited so long! It felt so good to be clean.

There is still time to plant a fall salad garden
Radishes, spinach, turnips, mustard, lettuce and other leafy greens can be planted from mid-August to early September extending the harvest into fall. If planted in-ground, plant seeds slightly deeper than recommended for spring. This will give seeds access to slightly cooler soil that retains more moisture. Provide regular water until seeds germinate. Sprinkle a light layer of compost over the top of the seeds to prevent the soil from forming a crust.
