K-State commencement ceremonies to celebrate more than 3,000 degree candidates
MANHATTAN — Kansas State University welcomed more than 3,000 students into its ranks of alumni as degree candidates are recognized at commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, at the Salina campus and Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, at the Manhattan campus.

The power of community prevails
The recent tornado that stretched from Greensburg to Plevna went right through the middle of our farm, missing our house and the farm shop by about a mile. The destruction of neighbors’ homes and loss of livestock is incredibly sad, but our entire community has rejoiced that no human lives were lost. Things can be replaced people can’t.

McComb named Pratt County Farm Bureau scholarship winner
Skyline High School graduate Kodi McComb has been named a Pratt County Farm Bureau Association agricultural scholarship recipient. She is a daughter of David and Heidi McComb and plans to attend Hutchinson Community College this fall, where she plans to major in Agriculture with the goal of becoming an animal chiropractor. She also plans to continue her livestock showing career with goats and sheep and join the HCC Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter.
