Rural impact applications sought by The Heartland Project

Charitable giving that makes a local impact, particularly for rural communities served by The Peoples Bank, is the impetus behind The Heartland Project that began late 2024 and runs through 2025. The Peoples Heartland Foundation, established by The Peoples Bank which has offices in Pratt, Smith, Osborne, Kiowa, Kingman and Barber counties, initiated The Heartland Project which will award $50,000 to approved plans in each county for a total of $300,000, all for the asking this year.

Another View: The Book of Mormon – Come Unto Me

It was 34 A.D. and the destruction was over. Many cities had been destroyed, and many people died in the great storms, earthquakes and fires which had descended on the new world peoples who called themselves Nephites and Lamanites(1). The people were wading through sorrow and mourning, when a voice was heard, saying “O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous than they, will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you? … Behold mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me. Behold I am Jesus Christ the Son of God … and in me hath the Father glorified his name … I am the light and life of the world.”(2)
