Senator Moran and SAF Coalition discuss promise of sustainable aviation fuel

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) visited a meeting of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Coalition last week, where he discussed the need for greater legislative efforts to support the production and deployment of SAF in the 119th Congress.“Sustainable aviation fuel is a practical and smart way to fuel our airplanes,” said Senator Jerry Moran.

Christmas in the Park is a success

Hundreds of people took part in the Lemon Park Lighting event at the 2024 Christmas in the Park, and even though the big tree didn’t light up at the end of the big count down (right away, anyway) there were plenty of other lights that glowed when the switch was flipped.Oohs and ahhs filled the air as more than 100 displays lit up in the darkening dusk and Santa laughed “Hohoho” and childrens’ smiles were from ear to ear, despite sticky cotton-candy hands and faces and hot cocoa lips.Pratt Elks Lodge volunteers placed their own stickers on more than 250 kids who stopped by to decorate cookies that encouraged them to stay drug free.

Skyline hosts the Sterling Jazz Band

On Tuesday, November 19, Skyline Schools was given the rare opportunity to listen to a college-level performance when the Sterling College Jazz Band played a set for the staff and students, some of which admitted that they had never heard live jazz music before.Toes were tapping and heads were bobbing to the rhythm as every section of the 17-piece band was represented in different songs by improvisational solo performances.
