Peaceful Prairies Poetry Sharing poems about sunshine, snow and pet shenanigans

Awaiting this morning the darkness denies,The beauty of snow, and a gorgeous sunrise! While outside the temp has been dropping,On our laps the cats, they are napping! With winter on this late November day,I’m hoping, it won’t be long to stay! But oh the glisten of the sun upon the snow,The days will shorten, ‘for they begin to grow!As I sit and listen to the ticking of the clock,My feet are on the fire, warming my winter frock!Cats and dogs are happy, inside the house,Hope they do their job, keep out brother mouse! With bacon in my belly, and coffee in the pot,The dogs have been outside, for a morning trot;Time to feed the cows, clean snow from their bunk,This weather sure gives, my dogs a lot of spunk! My church has canceled because of the snow,But with nine inches, I’ve got no place to go!So after cows are fed, feed the fire with a log,I’ll write another poem, scratch the head of my dog!Happy winter, y’all!
