Sidman wins Christmas coloring contest at library

Ava Sidman, third grade student at Southwest Elementary, was awarded first prize in the Pratt Public Library’s Christmas Coloring Contest in conjunction with the Pratt Tribune. According to Derese McAbee, Activities Director and Makerspace Manager at the library, Sidman’s picture caught the attention of contest judges because not only was it colored attractively, she added sparkle and embellishment for an artistic and unique result.

Krehbiel announces retirement from Kanza Coop leadership

Bruce Krehbiel, Kanza Cooperative CEO, has announced plans to retire in summer 2023 after serving the cooperative for more than 36 years. “My years with Kanza have been filled with tremendous growth in our organization, working to keep the organization steady through the ups and downs in the markets, and the true joy of working with our employees to serve a great membership,” Krehbiel said.
