Happy Holidays to everyone

I love decorating for Christmas. I have collected Christmas decorations for many years now...and I have too many to find places for all of them. This year I had a tree on the porch, and when the wind started getting stronger, I went out to get the Santa that I had sitting by the tree, because it is breakable, and I thought I should bring it inside.

Dealing with grief; we can keep saying their names

There are a great many people with heavy hearts, tears in their eyes and unfathomable sorrow to deal with in the Pratt community this Christmas season. Blinking lights, decorated trees, frosted cookies, gift-giving, meal prep, snowy streets, dropping temperatures, familiar songs, Church services, all the normal things of Christmas continue on, but the untimely deaths of three young men from the area earlier in December sit heavy on the hearts of many.

A New Year?

In a few days we will be celebrating the coming of a new year. I wonder what the new year will bring? I have a feeling that it will have so much misleading information that it will try to destroy our nation. Another word, the same as this past year.

Christmas event has several winners

There was really only supposed to be one winner of the grand prize drawing at Bixler’s Art Barn Community Christmas event last Tuesday and Wednesday, but in reality there were many winners. “It was cold but people came and stayed around the fires, rode the horse-drawn wagons, and visited inside,” said Dick Bixler, who hosted the events along with wife, Nancy.
