Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College women’s soccer team opened their postseason tonight, October 27 against the Storm of Southeast Community College. The Beavers are the #1 seed in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region VI playoffs and hold home field advantage throughout the postseason. In the previous two matches against the Storm, Pratt won both by a score of 2-0.
Riding high behind an undefeated season, the Macksville High School football team defeated South Gray 54-6 last Thursday in a game that clears the way for a post-season run all the way to state in 8-man Division 1 play.
This Monday, Skyline Schools celebrated the grand opening of their student-run coffee shop, “The Beakery.” The Beakery is open to patrons and parents from 7:30-7:45 a.m. on the east side entrance at the cart; after which students and teachers are invited to come to business teacher Taylor Stratford’s classroom during first hour to order their coffee and pastries. The current menu includes coffees, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, protein shakes, lemonade, and poppyseed muffins.
