The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met as a Board of Canvass on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. Chairman Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Bryce Garner, and Clayton Grimmett.
This will be a year of big change for the Lady Tigers of St. John. The 2022-23 team loses four seniors to graduation, including their leading scorer and 3-pt % leader Darby Smith, who now plays for the Barton County Cougars. The Tigers return very little varsity experience, but Coach Danny Smith said he likes the potential of the young players coming on board.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, Stafford County Historical Museum hosted Leo Oliva and his program, “Railroaded: The Industry that Shaped Kansas.” The program was sponsored by Humanities Kansas. There were 25 in attendance.
