Pratt High School won an award for the Most Elegant Robot at a robotics contest in Alva, Oklahoma last month. Northwestern Oklahoma State University hosted the Heartland BEST 2022 “Made2Order” contest attended by six schools from Oklahoma and Kansas.
GREAT BEND, KAN. – Innovative Livestock Services (ILS) opened its doors to more than 20 students from Great Bend, Larned, Macksville and Ellinwood high schools for a hands-on, immersion experience with the ILS Farm Partnership. Students were exposed to farm operations, equipment management, water management, and more during the immersion experienced designed to introduce high school students to career opportunities in production agriculture.
On Tuesday, November 7, Pratt High School hosted, for the first time in school history, a varsity and JV meet on the same day. Head Coach Kyle Farmer said he was very excited for the opportunity and that it was a huge milestone in PHS history.
On Tuesday, November 8, USD 350 Scholars Bowl Team participated in a Tournament hosted by Otis-Bison. St. John placed first in a three-way tie with Ellinwood, LaCrosse, and St. John. Although few in numbers, the Varsity Scholars Bowl Team Won first place by a margin - higher differential (wins and losses, cyclical head-to-head, down to point differential).
