How about a walk with Howie?

Life hasn’t been easy for this sweet dog named Howie, but he loves people and really likes to go for walks. His temperament is gentle but he may or may not have had a tough time around other dogs as he has scars on his face and seems a bit picky about fourlegged friends. Howie may not be the prettiest dog but he is well-behaved and would love to be part of a special someone’s life. He is a possible retriever, lab, and Chinese Shar-Pei combination, weighs 52 lbs. and is 5 years, 5 months old. A fenced yard is recommended.

Library FUNdraiser brings in money for local events

Thursday October 13 was the Pratt Public Library’s annual FUNdraiser. The event lasted from 5-7 p.m. Participants could purchase $1 tickets to spend on activities at booths set up around the library. Kids had also earned tickets in the weeks leading up to the festival by answering daily trivia questions. The activities included an inflatable obstacle course, pumpkin decorating, snacks, and various games including a ring toss, cornhole, bobbing for apples, several different kinds of races, duck float, basket toss, card games, and other events. There was also a photo booth and a station where people could listen to a spooky story. Early in the evening Daren Dunn from My 93.1 FM was present and broadcast live from the library.

God is truth and the greatest comforter; why deny someone in recovery this encouragement

Dear Editor: In response to the article in the Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Tribune article on page A3, regarding leaving Christ-centered part out of Cody’s House, I would like to make the following comments. It is apparent the author has not considered the source of the air she breaths or the complexity of her eyes which she uses every waking minute of her day and night, or many other complexities around us.
