We are all Samaritans

missionary John 4: 9 “Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.” Several years ago we witnessed a surge of young people in the church being called as missionaries to Africa, Asia or parts of South and Central America. When this was announced in churches of various denominations around this country, halleluiahs and amens were heard echoing off the church walls.

Whatever God is asking you to do, DO IT

I’ve been a homemaker, pretty much all our married life. For over 39 years I have been doing our family’s laundry. I have seldom worked outside the home and even then have always been the sole person responsible for managing the household responsibilities, not that Jeff isn’t willing to give a hand when I need help. I just prefer to do some things myself.

Kansas Water Photo Contest & Student Research Poster Submissions Being Accepted

Kansas is home to an abundance of beautiful natural resources, and Kansans are encouraged to capture the most vital of these: water. The Kansas Water Office (KWO) is accepting photos to be featured in conjunction with the 2022 Governor’s Conference on the Future of Water in Kansas in November. The photos need to pertain to water or water use in Kansas. Examples include all bodies of water, irrigation, agriculture, recreation and fun, or other water infrastructure.

Kansas schools observe Anti-Bullying Awareness Week

TOPEKA — Schools across the state this week are observing Kansas Anti-Bullying Awareness Week. “By resolution, the Kansas Senate and the Kansas State Board of Education have declared the first full week in October Anti-Bullying Awareness Week,”said Kent Reed, an education program consultant, counseling and social-emotional character development, for the Kansas State Department of Education’s Career, Standards and Assessment Services team.
