Dear Editor: In response to the article in the Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Tribune article on page A3, regarding leaving Christ-centered part out of Cody’s House, I would like to make the following comments. It is apparent the author has not considered the source of the air she breaths or the complexity of her eyes which she uses every waking minute of her day and night, or many other complexities around us.

Fun concert had something for all ages

Backtrack Vocals, a five-person, New York City-based acapella/beatbox group, kicked off the 202223 Pratt Community Concert season last week with a high-energy, educational, entertaining evening. The group performed a wide repertoire of music, putting its unique spin on pieces ranging from Beethoven to folk to rock to disco to pop to rap.

How about a walk with Howie?

Life hasn’t been easy for this sweet dog named Howie, but he loves people and really likes to go for walks. His temperament is gentle but he may or may not have had a tough time around other dogs as he has scars on his face and seems a bit picky about fourlegged friends. Howie may not be the prettiest dog but he is well-behaved and would love to be part of a special someone’s life. He is a possible retriever, lab, and Chinese Shar-Pei combination, weighs 52 lbs. and is 5 years, 5 months old. A fenced yard is recommended.
