Lack of housing has become an increasing issue in Stafford County. The current housing stock is generally old, not in good condition, and of lower value.The construction of new houses significantly decreased during the 1960s and never really rebounded. This lack of new development paired with properties falling into disrepair and having to be demolished has resulted in a net loss of 225+ houses over the past twenty years.
I give a lot of my time to help young leaders grow and develop through programs like 4-H and FFA. Though my biggest motivation is paying it forward because of all the people who helped me, I also directly benefit from working with these students who are experts on pop culture, new fashion, slang terminology and the latest social media trends.

The Skyline High School volleyball team, led by 6thyear coach Lori Anschutz, returns to action this week with six seniors ready to play. Kady Anschutz, Monika Castillo, Josie Wray, Randi Hoffman, Halle Young, and Tracy Nation are joined by sophomores Kory Anschutz and Ashley Spease, all ready to pick up where they left off and win titles. Practice started last Monday.
Members of the Pratt Elks Lodge #1451 used a Gratitude Grant from their organization to create 20 special food bags which they donated to the Hope Center for distribution where needed. The Gratitude Grant is one of the CIP (Community Investment Programs).
