and hold activities as we did in the second half of last school year. Part of the process of looking forward is the development of a strategic plan for the school district.

Community Night Out a success for Pratt
If crowd noise was any indication, then Saturday’s Pratt Strong Community Night Out was a success, despite falling rain interruptions. Co-organizer Tiffany Riley was very happy with how the evening of food, fun and face painting went, even though the movie plans were canceled because of weather.

How is drought affecting fish and wildlife?
Drought conditions across the country noticeably affect farmers and ranchers and the animals they care for, but how are fish and wildlife responding to current drought conditions? It’s important to remember that fish and wildlife naturally adapt to fluctuations in weather conditions, including harsh winters and droughts. That said, extended drought conditions can have the most direct and severe impacts on fish communities and fish habitats. Below are a few examples of impacts drought can have on some fish and wildlife.

Pratt High School football kicks off season at Jamboree event in Dodge City
On Friday, August 26, the Pratt Greenbacks traveled to Dodge City to participate in a three team fall jamboree. It was a round robin style event, with the three teams being Pratt, Dodge City, and Cimarron.
