PRMC CEO removed following local protest

On Friday July 15, the Board of Directors at Pratt Regional Medical Center voted not to retain the services of Darrell Lavender, the hospital’s CEO. Lavender had served as CEO following the retirement of Susan Paige who led the organization for 27 years. The transition to the new CEO’s policies had been “difficult” according to a Friday letter from the hospital’s marketing director, which can be read in full on the A2 Business page of this week’s Pratt Tribune.

Barclay College approved by Kansas State Board of Nursing to offer traditional B.S.N. degree

The Kansas State Board of Nursing has approved Barclay College in Haviland to offer the traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The Barclay School of Nursing has now submitted the program to the accreditor, and the program is pending approval by the Higher Learning Commission (H.L.C.).

KSN’s Good Day Kansas crew visits; NJCAA academic teams bring honor to PCC

EPT Director Phillip “Dave” Campbell spoke about the new EPT Support Specialist major that trains students on the ground, versus training aloft in the lineman training program. The Support Specialist major gives an overall view and training foundation that could lead to a job in six other occupations in electrical distribution.
