Estes and Mann join group of congressional leaders expressing concern over proposed SEC regulations on agricultural producers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, U.S. Representatives from Kansas - Ron Estes and Tracey Mann joined 116 other colleagues in sending a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), expressing their concerns with a new proposed rule that would have a negative impact on U.S. agricultural producers.

2,000 people in Pratt County have mental illness

The public is invited to a free, brown bag Lunch and Learn on Friday, June 10, at The Front Porch, 115 E. Fourth Street. This presentation will be the first in a series of five Lunch and Learn presentations about mental illness and substance use. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with a brief introduction at 11:50. The presentation will go from noon to 1:15 p.m., and there will be time following the presentation to talk about what was just learned.

Youth Core Ministries is connecting kids to better life options, camp experiences

It’s a big job that boils down to a very important objective for Youth Core Ministry liaison Jennifer Hamilton and director Kyle Nauman: show up and connect with kids. They shared their mission at a recent Prat Lions Club meeting, as well as the need to help more than 100 area kids find a way to afford summer camp this year.
