Kansas lawmakers failed Thursday to override Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto of a ban on transgender girls and women competing on girls’ and women’s sports teams.
BARBER COUNTY –The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), along with the Barber County Sheriff ’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Medicine Lodge Police Department, the Pratt County Sheriff ’s Office, and the Harper County Sheriff ’s Office arrested two men Friday for methamphetamine-related charges.

Still a little hobbled and unsteady on my feet from recent knee surgery, here I sit at the computer, listening to the spring wind howl outside and reminiscing about past turkey hunts. These memories are probably as close as I’ll get to harvesting a turkey this spring, but memories of one particular fall turkey hunt keep popping into my mental in-box.

As part of the enhanced system, outdoor-goers will have the ability to purchase a durable license card upgrade that can withstand harsh outdoor conditions. These collectible cards resemble the style of a credit card and will be optional for every customer to purchase for an additional $6.
I have reached the age of accumulated things. My husband and I are both collectors, but we were never ones to buy things just because they were currently popular. We bought things we wanted to live with for a long time. However, if you live long enough, it is inevitable that you will collect much more than you need. We have reached that age and need to decide what should be gifted or discarded. Like many of our friends, we are finding that difficult, because the value of so many of our things is a matter of memories.
