South West Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SWKAAA) will be hosting the Senior/Boomer Expo on April 21, 2022 at the Dodge City Civic Center. Sunflower Senior Center has the City of St. John Bus scheduled to travel to Dodge City, Ks. for this event. We also encourage as many older Kansans, individuals with disabilities and caregivers to attend if possible.
The Stafford Future Farmers of America brought entertainment to us in the form of a Donkey Basketball on Saturday, evening. These trained donkeys from Dairyland Donkey Ball, Chippewa Falls, Wis., were both rambunctious and reluctant.
For more than 25 years, the coming of spring has meant that DeWayne Bryan would dust off his bicycle and head to Pratt’s elementary schools for the annual Pratt Health Foundation’s bicycle safety unit. This year it won’t happen.
Pratt High School students and fans gathered for Enchantment Under the Sea Prom 2022 on Saturday, April 2 in Pratt. Decorations viewing took place from 6:30 p.m. -7:15 p.m. with a promenade at 7:30 p.m. The junior class, assisted by master balloon-work by Tonja Harrison and company at Balloons and More, used their creativity to turn school facilities into an underwater adventure-land.

Unless your head hasn’t been stuck in a hole somewhere, then you are aware that there was a bit of an issue at the Academy Awards this year. No, it wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction. If you didn’t know, That terminology became famous almost twenty years ago by singer Justin Timberlake after an incident during the 38th Super Bowl (American football) tournament in February 2004.
