It all started back in 2007 when the Kansas Sampler Foundation launched a contest to find the most significant treasures in Kansas. The people voted, and these are the 8 wonders they decided on.
When our kids were little, we played a game with them. My husband Jeff and I would tease each other by trying to teach our little one who was barely speaking, that they loved one of us over the other. I would say something like “You love mommy this much don’t you?” as we put our arms out as wide as they would reach. Earlier fires have killed hundreds of cattle and devastated farmers and ranchers to our north. And now we are approaching tornado season. How appropriate that we are also fast approaching Holy Week.
