Coming fight on abortion

It appears that the US Supreme Court may overturn Roe V Wade. When that happens, each state will be able to make the decision on whether or not they will allow abortion. Kansas has already been identified as one of the “go to” states by Texas women seeking abortion when Texas puts a stop to abortions. Does Kansas really want to be known as “the” place to get an abortion. It is time to start preparing for the fight that is coming to Kansas.

Kansas Senate confirms Janet Stanek for Secretary of KDHE

TOPEKA – The Senate voted March 9 to confirm the appointment of Janet Stanek to serve as the Secretary for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). “As a skilled and qualified leader in the world of health care, Secretary Stanek is well equipped to handle the changing scope public health has taken since the beginning of the pandemic,” Governor Laura Kelly said.

National Groundwater Awareness Week, now in its 23rd year, has been an annual week of awareness, education, and advocacy focusing on one of the nation and state’s most precious resources.
