Duane and Jennifer Wahrman of Pratt own two trucking companies, a home-based hauling service called D & J Fluid Service, LLC and an over-the-road long haul company simply called D&J Trucking, LLC. Their businesses, as well as their personal lives, have been greatly affected by national policies in the past two years. Last month they joined the People’s Convoy of truckers, driving to Washington, D.C. in protest of the continued enactment of the federal emergency powers act.
The Pratt High School baseball program is looking to build on their veteran leadership and expertise, as they have 11 seniors that head the varsity squad. “I feel like we have a lot of experience on the baseball field, which is an awesome thing,” said head coach Ron Hill.

One such advancement that has many anglers “picking sides” is the introduction, and proliferation, of live-imaging sonar (LIS) – sonar that allows anglers to view fish and structure, below and around their vessel, in real time and often with great clarity. While some believe LIS adds immense value to the overall fishing experience, others believe it poses an ethical dilemma, blurring the lines of “fair chase.” So, when is an advancement too advanced? That’s the data KDWP Fisheries staff sought but couldn’t find; so, they developed it themselves in a first-of-itskind study.
The Pratt High School powerlifting team had a successful day at state this past week, with multiple placers and record breakers. Even the young and beginning lifters achieved new personal record bests (PRs) on multiple lifts.
