S & S Tire is a locally owned tire shop operated by Marshal Sanders. The tire shop is located at 602 W First Avenue in St. John, Kansas. S & S Tire was opened in February of 2013 and has one employee and that is the owner. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sanders also goes out with the service truck on emergency calls for tire repairs and replacements.
The St. John Jr/Sr High School and Elementary School will be doing their annual community service day in St. John, Hudson, and surrounding areas on April 20 from 9 a.m.-noon. Students can be requested to do anything from yard work and painting to hauling furniture out to the curb.

At the February 7 meeting of the Pratt City Commissioners, DeWayne Bryan, Executive Director of the Pratt Health Foundation, approached the city about the possibility of purchasing the rails and including them in the rails to trails program.

The six-part webinar series will be held at noon every Tuesday from March 1 through April 5.
The Barclay Bears men’s basketball team beat Ozark Christian College last week 103-100. This game was a shootout from start to finish. Ozark Christian shot 56.5 percent from the field in the win and was 17-of-31 from the perimeter. They were a crisp 13-of-21 from the free-throw line.
