The Pratt High School boys and girls basketball teams took on Nickerson High School last week with a boys 65-30 win and a girls 71-42 loss. The Greenback boys took down the Nickerson Panthers Friday after jumping out to an early lead.
The citizens of Iuka, located six miles north of Pratt, can breathe a little easier knowing that they now have a FEMA approved storm shelter in place. On Monday, Trand Inc. from Pratt helped place the new storm shelter on the west side of the Iuka City Fire Station, just three blocks east of U.S. Highway 281 that runs by this Pratt County town, population 187.
The Pratt High School Scholar’s Bowl Team recently finished a great season, taking first place at regionals and sixth place at state. Although they weren’t able to make it to the championship round at state last week, their season was filled with countless memories and evidence of success.
