It’s a first-come, first-serve kind of set up, but the list for monthly side-trips taken by seniors at Sunflower Senior Center in St. John usually contains some regulars.
Kenny Clark has been the owner of Clark’s Barber Shop in St. John for 58 years and he isn’t planning on retiring any time soon. His customers need him and that keeps him going. Long ago he found a niche to fill and ever since he has been cutting hair for friends, family and whomever stops by.
The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Vice-Chairman Garner called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Pratt High School boys and girls basketball teams continued impressive play at the Hoisington Cardinal Winter Jam Tournament last week. The Greenbacks boys improved to 11-2 following a 53-45 championship game victory over Ellinwood Saturday.
Two of the four federal vaccine mandates have had their day in the highest court in our nation. Yet even as these overreaching mandates have met obvious challenges and legal stays through the end of 2021 and into the new year, the Biden administration has continued battering employers by pushing their failed onesize-fits-all approach to force COVID-19 vaccines on Americans regardless of their medical history, religious beliefs or natural immunities.
Looking back, it has been a progression of faith and an answer to many prayers that led to recent updates and remodeling at Pratt’s Barron Theater on S. Main Street. An open house held Friday, January 21 revealed new carpet, new flooring in the bathrooms, new paint in the lobby area and electrical systems up to code.
Newly appointed City of Pratt Mayor Zach Deeds presided over the January 17 city council meeting at which Russ Rambat (Public Works Director) discussed a bid from Doug Reh in the amount of $41,370 for a new work truck. No motion was made to approve the purchase by the commission as Rambat was asked to continue the search and report his findings back to the commission.

In the process of meeting my birth family we were in the middle of planting a church while Jeff worked a full-time job, I homeschooled our 3 children, as we prepared for our oldest to graduate high school and enroll in college.
