THE TINY TOWN OF HUDSON came alive and more than doubled in size during their biennial event, the Hudson Old Fashioned Christmas. The town of around 100 people welcomed over 150 more, with more than 250 people total in attendance.

THE ST. PAUL LUTHERAN Laymen’s League of rural Preston recently met to make plans for the 64th Annual Pancake and Sausage Supper to be held on January 15, 2022 from 4:30-7 p.m. Over the years the menu has grown to include: pancakes, waffles, whole hog sausage, eggs, French toast, coffee, tea, milk, and orange juice. According to LLL President Warren Briggeman, “the LLL decided in addition to our regular sausage choice from T & W Meat of Preston, we will also serve a limited number of their sausage links. Comments from attendees may influence the menu of future suppers.”
MACKSVILLE - James Lee, Macksville High School senior, recently inked a national letter of intent to run track and field at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. James has been a four year member of the cross country team at Macksville and a three year contributor to the Mustang’s track and field squad.

THE STAFFORD COUNTY Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman Grimmett called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Clayton Grimmett, Todd Wycoff and Bryce Garner.
