Free Developmental Screening in Pratt
January 10 – A free screening clinic for children from birth-to-5 will be held in Pratt to help parents determine if their child’s development is age-appropriate. The screening is planned for Friday, January 10 at the Pratt First United Methodist Church, 100 N. Jackson St. Appointments are necessary so appropriate screening can be accomplished. KCHS announces homecoming
January 10 – Kiowa County High School’s basketball homecoming is Friday, January 10. The public is invited to the crowning ceremony which will take place at the halftime of the boy’s game.
SPLC Pancake and Sausage Supper
January 18 – The annual St. Paul Lutheran men’s club will host their annual pancake and sausage supper, 4:30- 7 p.m., Saturday, January 18 at the Lutheran Church 6 miles NE of Pratt, Hwy 61. Supper includes pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, milk. Free-will offering. Proceeds benefit district and local mission projects.

Commodities distribution day (Dept. of Child and Family Services)
January 22 – Pratt County residents may come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main, to pick up Commodities from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 (fourth Wednesday every other month). Government income guidelines apply.
Register for Women’s Conference
January 25 – Refined, a women’s faith conference will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, in Pratt. Take the time now to register before January 15 in order to get a special conference t-shirt. Tickets are $25 and include lunch, t-shirt, and a take home project.
