Employees honors during KCMH appreciate event

The Kiowa County Memorial Hospital held their annual employee appreciation night last week at the Greensburg Twilight Theatre.

Among those honored for years of service were Tish Smith, RN, Gina Friesen, Dooli Rugg, Pennie Nafisa, Realynn Stevens, Dean Yoder, Jane Oborny and Morgan Allison.

Special notes shared by the hospital organization included the following.

Smith, has served the hospital community for 45 years with dedicated, compassionate care.

Friesen has served for 20 years, leading the radiology department. Her laughter fills hospital hallways and the hearts of her coworkers. She is truly an example of a servant leader.

Rugg has been the Director of Quality for 5 years. She also helps in the clinic and radiology or wherever needed. She never shies away from hard work and is always willing to learn new things or help anyone.

Nafisa is a CNA on the nursing unit. Patients often recognize her for her compassionate care. Stevens serves as the admin assistant and also works in daycare. She is one of the kindest people you will ever meet!

Yoder has been part of the KCMH taking care of the grounds. He has the best sense of humor and is the best “duck dad” anyone could ask for.

Oborny, CFO, is a wealth of knowledge and has helped steer KCMH to bring billing in-house and reduce expenses. Allison, CEO, has worked as receptionist, administrative assistant, and CEO in her time at KCMH.

The mission statement of Kiowa County Memorial Hospital is to be the trusted provider of choice for compassionate quality healthcare in the communities served.
